Mr. Ricardo Belgrave is the Prepress Manager at the Nation Publishing Co. Limited.
As Prepress Manager, Mr. Belgrave has chief responsibility for developing, monitoring and implementing the procedures that will ensure that all publications satisfy the
agreed schedules, deadlines, quality standards and customer expectations.
Having joined the company in March 1st, 1988 as a lithographer, Mr. Belgrave moved to the position of Prepress Operator. He was then promoted to Shift Leader in the Prepress Department and later Prepress supervisor in 2003 before assuming his current role.
Mr. Belgrave has over 18 years experience within the Production arena and is proficient in a number of programs, which aid in the Production process. These include Quark
Express, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Illustrator, PDF Workflow and Computer-to-Plate (CTP) technology to name a few.
This experience was gained while at various educational institutions, including the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic and Pratt Institute in New York where he also acquired a two-year certificate in Printing Studies and a Diploma in Computer Graphics respectively.
Before he joined The Nation, Mr. Belgrave further honed his skills at Letchworth Press as Apprentice Pressman as well as Assistant Production Manager at JALOR Color Graphics.
Mr. Belgrave was previously awarded Most Outstanding Employee in the Production Department and in 2005 won the Sprit of St. Mary’s Row Award.
