General Manager - Trinidad Express
Robert is the General Manager and the former Circulation Manager of the Trinidad Express, the largest daily newspaper in Trinidad and Tobago. He is the chair of the Express’ operations management committee and is responsible for the daily operational requirements of the newspaper.
Robert joined the Trinidad Express in 1972 and served as the South Branch Manager for 12 years, before becoming Production Manager. Later he served as Marketing Manager and then Circulation Manager (two positions he held simultaneously at points during his career).
As General Manager he oversees all aspects of the Express’ operations including its production and profit centers.
He is a member of WAN (World Association of Newspapers), Commonwealth Press Union and the INMA (International Newspaper Marketing Association).
Robert has done several courses in marketing and public relations both at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine (Trinidad) and the LCCI (London Chamber of Commerce and Industry) (UK). |
