Roxanne Gibbs is the Executive Editor at The Nation Publishing Co. Limited and has been with the company for over 25 years.
Mrs. Gibbs joined The Nation in 1978, fresh out of college and worked as a proofreader and Sub-editor. She rapidly climbed the corporate ladder, first as an Assistant Editor then as Editor of a number of publications, which included The Junior Nation, The Junior Caribbean, The Visitor Magazine (now Friends), Special Projects Editor, Saturday Sun Editor, Sunday Sun Editor, Associate Managing Editor (Content) and for the past several years, Executive Editor.
Mrs. Gibbs has a BA in English (cum laude) and has studied Sociology, both of which were attained at Fisk University in Tennessee, USA. In addition, she has had advance training in journalism at the Institute of Journalism in Germany and has attended several advanced courses in management and journalism. |
