Born out of the community’s yearning for enhanced journalism, it is natural for The Nation to give paramount importance to relations with the wider society. Over the years, we have supported charitable events and granted sponsorship to a number of organisations, community groups and clubs.

Sponsorships command a substantial part of the Corporate Communications budget with our portfolio ranging from sports (Commonwealth gold medallist Andrea Blackett), health, environment, charities, and entertainment to academia (the yearly UWI Elsa Goveia Lecture).
